Our Staple P-90s features hand-beveled rectangular alnico magnets as non-adjustable pole pieces. They're direct replacements for nearly any Soapbar-size P-90 pickup and do not require instrument modification.

Our new bridge version Staple P-90 …is wound to match the volume of the neck pickup and to provide more tonal consistency when switching between the two. The tonal character of the Staple P-90 pickups hits the sweet spot between the Fender sound of our Alnico Pole P-90s and the grit of our traditional steel pole P-90s. The result is plenty of grind plus added clarity and punch. While the neck version is wound with 42-gauge coil wire and yields 8.9K Ohms d.c. resistance, the bridge version uses 43-gauge wire and achieves 13.1K Ohms. Both versions employ vintage-style, single conductor braided shield lead wire and are available with black, cream, or white Soapbar-size covers.
