This is the Lollar take on the pre-World War II era, 1 1/2"-wide classic horseshoe magnet lap steel pickup. We use real nickel-plated horseshoe magnets and bobbins with adjustable poles to give you better volume balance on the outside strings as compared with the original model. Our design is slightly longer than the original to allow easier height adjustment using the thumbwheels. We also offer a retrofit version with a shorter baseplate for use in original, pre-war Rickenbackers®. The horseshoe is available in 6-, 7-, and 8-string versions. String spacing center-to-center to the outside poles are: 6-string, 2.053"; 7-string, 2.44"; and 8-string 2.875". Also available in Post WWII 1 1/4" models.
